Born on September 22, 1990, in Ankara, Akın Süreyya Akınözü is a Turkish actor known for his roles in various Turkish television series. He has gained recognition not only in Turkey but also in Spain, Latin America, and Russia.
Akınözü completed his high school education at TED Ankara College before pursuing higher education in the United States. He studied Applied Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley. However, his interest in art grew during his time in the U.S., leading him to pursue acting upon his return to Turkey. He received training at Craft Atölye in Istanbul to pursue his newfound passion.
Akınözü made his television debut in 2015 with the series Muhteşem Yüzyıl Kösem, where he portrayed the character “Acemi Oğlan.” He went on to star in several other series, including Arkadaşlar İyidir and Aslan Ailem. However, it was his role as Miran Aslanbey in the series Hercai that brought him widespread fame. The series, which was also popular in Spain, Latin America, and Russia, significantly contributed to Akınözü’s international recognition.
In Spain, he was awarded the “Mr. Nova” and “Best Couple” awards alongside Ebru Şahin in a public vote organized by the channel airing Hercai. He also received the “Most Handsome Male Actor” award at the ‘Premios Telenovelas Espana’ television awards.
Akınözü continued to expand his international presence with his role as Cemal Kaya in the series Kaderimin Oyunu, which aired between 2021 and 2022. The series further solidified his popularity in Latin American countries. He then starred in the series Tuzak between 2022 and 2023, playing the roles of Umut Yörükoğlu and Çınar Yılmaz, which gained him recognition in Russia.
Currently, Akınözü can be seen in the atv series Yaban Çiçekleri, where he portrays the character Kılıç Tütüncü.
