Born on December 28, 1978, in Istanbul, Özgü Namal’s early life unfolded in various neighborhoods of Istanbul, primarily in Üsküdar. She began her professional acting career in 1997, participating in children’s plays at the Masal Gerçek Tiyatrosu. After completing high school at Istanbul Üsküdar Cumhuriyet Lisesi, she graduated from Istanbul University State Conservatory Theater Department in 2002.

Özgü Namal gained widespread recognition in Turkey through her role as Elif Eylül in the TV series “Kurtlar Vadisi,” one of the most influential productions in Turkish television history. Following this success, she played the lead role in the series “Hanımın Çiftliği” between 2009 and 2011.
