NOW TV’s “Gizli Bahçe” (Secret Garden), starring Murat Yıldırım and Ebru Şahin, is set to conclude after just six episodes. The drama, which aired on Tuesdays, has been canceled due to low ratings.
Despite having a star-studded cast led by Murat Yıldırım, the show failed to meet expectations. In Turkish television, no matter how popular the lead actors are, if the story, script, or production quality falls short, viewers quickly lose interest. Unfortunately, this was the fate of Gizli Bahçe.
The series revolved around the story of Nazlı and Demir. However, the show’s disappointing ratings were not acceptable to the network, leading to the decision to end it prematurely.
Tuesday nights in Turkey are highly competitive, with other shows such as “Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı” (Mehmed: The Conqueror Sultan), “Bahar” (Spring), “Bir Gece Masalı” (A Night’s Tale), and the newly launched “Aşk Evlilik Boşanma” (Love Marriage Divorce) dominating the primetime slots. Among these, Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı, Bahar, and Bir Gece Masalı maintain a strong position in the ratings. Unfortunately, the newcomer Aşk Evlilik Boşanma has also struggled, failing to make it into the top 10 in its debut week.
In the past two months, Gizli Bahçe joins a growing list of six Turkish dramas that have been canceled. For more details on recently canceled series and upcoming finales, explore our “Turkish Dramas That Have Ended” archive.
