“Şahane Hayatım” Ends with Its 30th Episode
Premiering on NOW TV on November 1, 2023, and running for 30 episodes, “Şahane Hayatım” concluded with its final episode on Wednesday, June 5th.
Full of intrigue, love, tension, and excitement, “Şahane Hayatım” tells the gripping story of Şebnem, who comes into life facing great injustices, works hard to overcome them, does what is necessary, and now, while living a magnificent life, tries to escape from her crime-filled past that comes back to haunt her.
Starring Hilal Altınbilek, Onur Tuna, Yiğit Özşener, Serkan Keskin, Nesrin Cavadzade, Sumru Yavrucuk, and Gökçe Eyüboğlu, who joined in the final weeks, “Şahane Hayatım” consistently ranked in the top 10 in Wednesday’s ratings. Other shows airing on the same day included KURULUS OSMAN, SANDIK KOKUSU, and TAS KAGIT MAKAS. “Şahane Hayatım” usually ranked below these three shows.
What Happened in the Final Episode of “Şahane Hayatım”?
The final episode of “Şahane Hayatım,” which aired on Wednesday, June 5th, ended on a tragic note.
In the last scene of the final episode, Didem approached Şebnem with a gun. At first, Şebnem thought Didem was going to shoot her. However, Didem said, “Don’t worry, I won’t kill you. I can’t kill you. But I will ask you to bury one more corpse…” and then Didem shot herself. Other characters rushed to the scene upon hearing the gunshot and found Didem had died.
5 Years Later…
The show then continued with a “5 years later” segment. Şebnem arrived at Aysel Gümüşcü’s mansion with her personal chauffeur. By now, Şebnem was managing the vast Gümüşcü estate. This was part of the show’s final minutes.
Prior to this, simpler events occurred within the show’s normal flow. I won’t go into too many details for those who haven’t watched and still want to, but here are a few snippets:
Macit took Onur to a wooded area with the intention of killing him with his car. He made Onur dig his own grave. However, there was something interesting: Onur wasn’t afraid of dying. In fact, for Onur, death was a kind of escape. This actually frustrated Macit. In this scene, after conversations between Onur and Macit, secrets were revealed, and various confessions were made, Macit suddenly decided not to kill Onur, realizing his own culpability.
Why Did “Şahane Hayatım” End?
According to backstage information, the reason for the finale is as follows: “From the day it began airing, the show managed to gain a loyal audience. However, it is said that ‘Şahane Hayatım’ did not achieve the expected success in the ratings. When the show couldn’t surpass 3.5 in total viewership and 2.5 in the AB demographic, the decision to end it became inevitable.”
