Today, filming has begun for a new Turkish series titled “ŞAKİR PAŞA AİLESİ: Mucizeler ve Skandallar”, which will air on NOW TV.
The cast includes Vahide Perçin, Fırat Tanış, Devrim Yakut, Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu, Denise Capezza, Nilsu Berfin Aktaş, Helin Kandemir, Yağmur Başkurt. According to the channel’s announcement, Meryem Uzerli will also join the cast at a later stage.
I hope Nilsu Berfin Aktaş is not the lead, as the shows she has been a part of often don’t last long and tend to end early.
If I were to share my personal opinion, I don’t have high hopes for this show. I’ve already added it to my list of shows that will probably have an early finale. Of course, it’s too early to judge, and it’s not fair to have preconceptions, but that’s how I feel. I hope it lasts longer…

The series, which is set to start in 1912, revolves around the real-life intrigue and secrets of the Şakir Pasha Family, whose members include Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı, known for making Bodrum famous under the pen name Halikarnas Balıkçısı; Fahrelnisa Zeid, a master of modern painting; Aliye Berger, the first Turkish engraver; and Füreya Koral, the first Turkish ceramic artist. The show will shed light on their extraordinary lives and relationships.
When Will It Premiere?
The filming is planned to begin soon in Istanbul, and preparations for the series are still ongoing. The story, set in 1912, will bring to life the unique journeys of the Şakir Pasha Family, showcasing their deep and complex lives.
