The Turkish drama “Bahar”, starring Demet Evgar, Buğra Gülsoy, and Mehmet Yılmaz Ak, returns to screens today with its second season. Two new faces join the cast: Büşra Pekin as “Süreyya” and Elçin Afacan as “Eylem.”
Who is “Süreyya” in Bahar?
Büşra Pekin, aged 42, was born on June 30, 1982, in Saudi Arabia. With roots in Ankara and a family background from Istanbul and Thessaloniki, she grew up in İzmir, Turkey.
Pekin gained widespread recognition from the TV show “Çok Güzel Hareketler Bunlar” (2008-2010). While she has made guest appearances on various television shows, she is best known for her roles in nearly 15 feature films as a lead actress.
Her last television role was in the 2024 series “Yaban Çiçekleri” as “Berna Ataman”, though the show was quickly canceled after just three episodes due to low ratings.
Büşra Pekin has undergone significant plastic surgery, making her almost unrecognizable from her previous self. Fans have noted her resemblance to Emilia Clarke, known for playing “Daenerys Targaryen” in Game of Thrones. Below, you can see her before and after photos.
Who is “Eylem” in Bahar?
Elçin Afacan, 33, is a Turkish actress born in Istanbul. She joined the Bahar series in September 2024 as “Eylem.” While relatively new to the acting scene, she gained some attention for her role as “Meryem” in the Star TV drama “Çöp Adam” (2022-2023), starring Engin Altan Düzyatan.
