On Monday, May 27, 2024, a new Turkish drama series titled “YALAN” (Lie) premiered on KanalD. This summer series stars Aslıhan Güner and Feyyaz Duman in the leading roles.
Plot of the Series “Yalan”:
STORY:
Melike, who is innocent but convicted of killing her husband, is released after twenty years. Her only dream is to reunite with her daughter Hazal, whom she entrusted to her sister while still an infant. However, waiting for Melike outside is not just her daughter, but a new prison built with lies. The immense power of a mother’s heart will be what brings down this prison of lies.
As Melike uncovers the lies told to her one by one, she will understand the game she has fallen into. As she gradually gets closer to her daughter, who has called someone else ‘mother’ for years, she will do everything she can to reveal the real killer of her husband. Melike Karaca (Aslıhan Güner)

Even under the toughest conditions, she always finds a way and comes up with solutions. So much so that even when she was unjustly accused and imprisoned, she started studying law to find the real culprit. She is a skilled woman, especially talented in sewing and embroidery. Despite growing up in poverty, she holds the values she learned from her mother in high regard, never succumbing to greed and living by her virtues. Duru Aksoy (Eylül Tumbar)
Duru is a very emotional, beautiful, innocent, and highly potential young girl. Instead of consuming what the wealthy Aksoy Family has given her, she tries to add value to it and works in the family company. Cengiz Yıldız (Emir Benderlioğlu)
Cengiz is a scheming, hard-hearted, manipulative man who has never managed to settle in life. His only concern is to get rich quickly. He is ready to do anything for this. There is no lie he would not tell, no person he would not use, no value he would not destroy to maintain his worthless life. The only thing Cengiz has is Hülya’s love for him. Cengiz knows very well how to use this when necessary. Despite his age, Cengiz is an extremely handsome man who knows how to dress up and take care of himself, even if with fake brands. Although he manages to deceive everyone with his schemes, his lies may eventually lead to his own downfall.
Berrin Aksoy (Özge Borak)
Berrin Aksoy, who comes to mind first in the country when it comes to fashion, is Duru’s mother. She is an impressive, power-hungry, ambitious woman. Her perfectionism has turned her life into a battlefield and made her family life a sort of career issue. Everything she does must be perfect. Having a husband like Haluk Aksoy is her main reason for existence. Duru is also part of her perfect family tableau. She does not tolerate the slightest mistake. Haluk Aksoy (Kubilay Tunçer)
Haluk Aksoy, the owner of the large textile giant Aksoy Holding, is Duru’s father.
